Description of Near South Side
The South Loop includes a number of key Chicago landmarks, including the Adler Planetarium, Field Museum of Natural History, and Shedd Aquarium, all at the Museum Campus, as well as the McCormick Place Convention Center, the largest in the world, and the River City Condominiums, designed by architect Betrand Goldberg of Marina City fame. The South Loop is also known for the new Maxwell Street Market, a huge swap meet close to the Pilsen neighborhood.
