Description of Norwood Park
Founders of the Norwood Park settlement, once distant from the city of Chicago but now part of it, envisioned a haven from urban life, and to an extent their vision continues.The oldest house in Chicago is here, in a neighborhood full of graceful 19th-Century homes; Norwood's Parks curving streets make it an unusual community and a pleasant reminder that the city of Chicago has many delightful corners known mainly only to their residents.
