Description of River ForestA pleasant place to live or to visit, River Forest hosts two universities and a handful of cultural institutions, but arguably its best feature is the line of generally pristine forest preserves immediately to its west, easily accessible, right on the Des Plaines River and no doubt the source of River Forest's name.
