Andersonville
Go to: Facts - See What's Here
Once settled by Swedish immigrants, Andersonville retains elements of its Scandinavian heritage, proudly displayed in restaurants and cultural institutions such as the Swedish-American Museum. As a living neighborhood, it has evolved into a fashionable, appealing commercial thoroughfare and residential enclave catering to affluent professionals. Andersonville has become an understated niche for Chicago's gay community as well.
