A historic district just north of the Wicker Park neighborhood, Bucktown has become an extension of the trendy area and enjoys high income levels and high property values. In several blocks concentrated north of North Avenue, along Concord Place and Caton Street, Queen Anne, Italianate, and Romanesque Revival homes abound. More vintage homes and greater architectural variety appear farther north, close to the intersection of Western and Milwaukee Avenue, where examples from the Second Empire, Chicago School, and Modern styles join the mix.
