Setting itself apart from the larger Uptown area, Buena Park, found just to the the east of Graceland Cemetary, in some respects suggests the era when Chicago's Far North neighborhoods along the lake were the epitome of elegance. Dominated by the strikingly gorgeous St. Mary's by the Lake campanile (pictured), Buena Park also includes the Hutchinson Street Historic District, a splay of Prarie-style, Queen Anne, and other architecturally significant edifices, famous especially for its Prarie-styles by George W. Maher.
