A historic neighborhood later interpolated into the "Belmont-Cragin" community area, Cragin today, like other neighborhoods near it, has a large Spanish-speaking population (64%) and a considerable Polish population. It has few native English speakers (21%). The St. Genevieve Catholic Parish stands near Cragin's southeast corner; Hansen Park and the residential area around it lies in its southwest. The multicultural, Eastern-European Belmont Avenue commercial corridor runs along its northern border.
