In the very heart of the North Shore and arguably its lovliest jewel, Glencoe has gardens that recall tucked-away corners of New England, architecture reminiscent of the British countryside, and a coastline that invokes Italian splendor. Comparisons aside, it has a character that epitomizes the Northern Suburbs but also stands apart from them by virtue of its one-of-a-kind gracefulness. Although not as cosmopolitan as Evanston or Highland Park, and without the venerable, sprawling estates of Lake Forest, Glencoe nonetheless has a timelessness and a mystic enchantment that beckon the visitor, once arrived, to remain indefinitely.
