Perhaps still one of Chicago's best kept secrets, Loyola Park, part of the Rogers Park community area, is one of the city's lovliest neighborhoods. Right on the lake with immediate access to nearly a dozen local beaches, this neighborhood also has abundant parklands, is a quick walk from Loyola University of Chicago, has good public transportation and enjoys charming vintage architecture. A swell in condo conversions is decreasing the area's rental properties and its diversity, but Rogers Park's geographic features and varied cultural environment should help Loyola's Park unique character be preserved.
