A community with an unusual and interesting history and character, Morgan Park, along with Beverly to its north, is one of the most amazing places in Chicago and one of the least-traveled by tourists. Sandwiched between urban neighborhoods and more outlying communities, Morgan Park is like neither city-like nor typically suburban. Gracious 19th-century mansions and vintage homes dot its forested, hilly topography, and a diverse, friendly community spirit aligns it with both Chicago's Irish Far Southwest Side and its African-American South Side.
