A neighborhood of high rises developed relatively recently, the New East Side begins where Chicago's Theater District in the Loop ends, extending from Randolph and Michigan east to the Lake. The buildings here are modern, imposing, and in general relatively uninspired, but they offer impressive views and immediate proximity to Chicago's downtown center, in enclaves that aim to cater to tenants' every need.
