The heart of Chicago's flamboyantly gay community, the neighborhood east of Clark in Lake View goes by many names, including Lake View East, New Town, and Boys' Town. Boys' Town is the most common designation for the concentrated stretch along Halsted Avenue (also dubbed "Northalsted") running north from Diversey to Irving Park and spilling over onto Clark Street and Broadway Avenue. The Pride Parade is held here annually.
