An increasingly diverse suburb currently attractive to those from Poland, Russia, and Korea, among other countries, only 56% of Niles' residents were English-speakers at the time of the 2000 census. Niles is just north of Chicago's border, near to Skokie, Lincolnwood, and Morton Grove.
