Its boundaries blurring with the communities known as West Ridge and West Rogers Park, and lining the commerical corridor called the Devon International Marketplace, North Town is unique in Chicago for its wide diversity of cultures, largely from Asia and from the Indian Subcontinent in particular. Visitors can stroll Devon avenue and see one Indian or Pakistani establishment after another, including delicious restaurants, tempting bakeries and intriguing shops offering everything from electronics to Indian groceries.
