Like nearby neighborhoods in Chicago's far northwest such as Edison Park, Sauganash, and Park Ridge. Norwood Park is particularly known for its circular and semicircular street patterns, laid out as in marked contrast to Chicago's even grid before Norwood Park got annexed to it. Norwood Park has a considerable Polish contigent, with 28% of residents claiming Polish ancestry and 11% speaking Polish at the time of the 2000 census. [More]
