Western Springs, a very affluent, almost completely non-Hispanic white suburb, is along the corridor of Chicago's prestigious Western Suburbs, which stretch from Riverside west and include Brookfield and Hinsdale. Western Springs is best known for its water tower (pictured), which houses a museum, and for a handful of houses surviving from the mid-1800s.
