WildOnions.org
is here for you to learn where and how to experience Chicagoland more extensively.
It showcases the traditional Chicago highlights as well as focusing on many parts
of the city and its surrounding communities that too-often seem unheralded. The
WildOnions.org interface offers a visually compelling and highly organized collection
of information, images,
maps, and personal
knowledge about the greater Chicago metropolitan area. WildOnions.org covers
the City of Chicago's more than 250 neighborhoods, the several hundred suburbs
outside the city, and the numerous outlying cities that serve as a gateway to
the region.
Residing in Chicago for six years, Alex Wedemeyer founded WildOnions.org with
the intent of bringing Chicagoland's many landscapes and adventures to anyone
with an interest in exploring this extraordinary place. Alex graduated from the
Master of Arts Program in the Humanities at the University of Chicago and from
the Master of Fine Arts in Writing program at the School of the Art Institute
of Chicago; he holds a BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
